Thirty-two 4th, 5th and 6th grade students share holiday music at RBR weekly breakfast meeting...

RBR was blessed to have Amy Parks Elementary School's music ensemble join us for our weekly meeting yesterday and share an incredible blend of talent, spirit, creativy and such positive energy as they sang a variety of very special Christmas music for us...and all at 7AM in the morning!

Led by Music Teacher Jan Stonestreet, thirty-two 4th, 5th and 6th graders put on an incredible show.  The group came together this Fall after a series of tryouts and Jan shared with us this year's group is slightly larger than most years because of the depth of talent which was so evident in their performance.  Also, they perform all through the school year at various places such as Six Flags, Stars Games, and organizations such as ours.

Two other highlights of this very memorable time together:

1)  What special unknown talents Mike Laun exhibited for all those lucky ones there to see him in action as he joined the choir during one of their songs (and if you can go YouTube website http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMW7gR7Kyr4 to catch his riveting live performance); and,

2) Our weekly Brag Bucket enabled several of the Amy Parks students to share (aka  'publicly reveal') that their school principal, also with us, is a great dancer!  (Privacy issues prevent us from naming this talented person however.)

And all throughout their program, so many smiles, so much laughter and joy as the spirit of Christmas came alive for all who were present.  Just a beautiful way to start the day with Rotarians leaving at 8AM humming Christmas music as they headed out the door.

THANKS SO MUCH, AMY PARKS, FOR SHARING YOUR SPECIAL TALENTS WITH RBR!
